Sand Dollar Cottage

Basic (1 shown)Welcome to Sand Dollar Cottage — a true throwback to what Florida beach vacations used to feel like… before high-rises, crowds, and theme parks took over. This is the kind of place where days revolve around tides, sunsets, and deciding whether you’re in the mood for fishing, shelling, or just doing absolutely nothing.
Here, mornings start with sandy pathway walks to the private beach for shell hunting. Afternoons mean floating in gentle Gulf waves or napping on the porch while the kids fish. Evenings are for grilling your fresh catch, watching the sun melt into the Gulf, then wandering down to your private bay dock for night fishing under the stars. Sand Dollar Cottage is pure, simple island living — and that’s exactly the magic.
Inside, the cottage is warm, cozy, and full of character with classic knotty pine paneling and hardwood floors. It’s been thoughtfully renovated to add modern comfort without losing that rustic Old Florida charm. The kitchen is fully updated with brand-new appliances, dishwasher, new countertops, and a handy island for prep or casual dining.
Sleeping layout:
- Upstairs bedroom with king bed
- Upstairs bedroom with two twin beds (sleeps four upstairs total)
- Downstairs private guest room with king bed (separate outdoor entrance + window AC)
- Downstairs half bath + outdoor shower for easy beach cleanup
- Newly renovated upstairs bathroom with walk-in shower
And yes — Sand Dollar Cottage is pet friendly, so the whole family gets to come along. The porch even has a gate to help keep pets and little ones safe.
The living room offers big Gulf views, comfy seating, a flat-screen TV, and free Wi-Fi if you need to check in with the real world. But honestly? Most of your time will be spent on the massive front porch, which is basically the heart of this home. Brand-new decking, outdoor dining, cozy seating, and wide-open Gulf views give you a front-row seat to those legendary Little Gasparilla sunsets. The porch includes both a screened section and an open-air sun deck — perfect for winter sunning days.
For water adventures, the owners include three kayaks (two singles + one tandem) so you can explore the bay, sandbars, and mangrove edges up close.
You’ll also have access to a private bay dock, just a short 1–2 minute walk from the house — perfect for fishing, tying up a boat, or watching the water at sunrise.
Sand Dollar Cottage has held onto its true Old Florida spirit — simple, unpretentious, peaceful, and deeply relaxing. It’s the kind of place where you show up stressed… and leave feeling like yourself again.
